Terms of Use
CalcLab is provided free of charge, as-is, for educational and planning purposes. Please read the section on accuracy — it matters more than the rest.
What this service is, and who runs it
CalcLab is operated by Chaitanya Lakamsani, an individual residing in the State of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is a personal project; there is no company or organisation behind it. In these terms, “the Owner”, “I”, and “me” refer to Chaitanya Lakamsani, and “you” refers to any visitor.
CalcLab is a collection of calculators and converters provided free of charge, intended for a general audience. There is no account, no subscription, and no payment. Every calculation runs in your browser.
By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.
Accuracy — please read this
These calculators were built with the help of AI tools, and — like any tool, AI-assisted or not — they can be wrong. The formulas are covered by automated tests, but they have not been independently verified against authoritative sources for every possible scenario, and edge cases may produce incorrect results.
Treat any result as a starting point rather than a final answer. Check anything important against an authoritative source, or with a qualified professional, before you rely on it. You are responsible for verifying any figure you act on.
The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind — including as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or continued availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss arising from reliance on a result produced by this site, and my total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with CalcLab and these terms shall not exceed one thousand Indian Rupees (₹1,000). Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Not professional advice
Results are estimates for educational and planning purposes only. They are not financial, tax, investment, legal, medical, or engineering advice. Where a calculator touches a regulated area, the page itself says so.
No calculator on this site encodes any country’s tax rates, statutory deductions, contribution limits, or holiday calendars. Where such values are needed, you supply them, and you are responsible for their correctness and currency. Any figures pre-filled in a form are illustrative examples, not the rates that apply to you.
Nothing produced by this site is a recommendation, endorsement, or inducement to take, or to refrain from taking, any action. A result is arithmetic performed on the values you entered — not a suggestion that a loan, investment, purchase, or any other course of action is suitable for you. You remain solely responsible for your own decisions and for their consequences.
Your data
Whatever you type into a calculator remains yours. We never receive it, so we claim no rights over it and could not use it even if we wanted to. What little information is involved in running the site is described in our Privacy Policy, including the one cookie we set, the analytics we run, and how to turn that analytics off.
Your use of CalcLab is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read it alongside them.
Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to disrupt the site or use it in a way that interferes with other people’s use of it. Beyond that, use the calculators as much as you like, for personal or commercial purposes.
Availability and changes
We make no commitment to uptime. Calculators may be added, changed, corrected, or removed at any time, and the site may be withdrawn without notice. If a calculation is found to be wrong it will be corrected, but we cannot undo decisions already made on the basis of it.
Intellectual property

The CalcLab name and branding, its logos and visual identity, its user interface and design, and its original written content — including the explanatory text, worked examples, and FAQs on each calculator page — remain the intellectual property of the Owner, together with any trademarks where applicable.
You are welcome to use the calculators and their results, including commercially, and to link to any page here. You may not present the site or its content as your own, or reproduce its branding or design.
Where a repository, file, or component states its own licence, that licence applies to that material and prevails over this section. CalcLab’s source code is published under the MIT licence; that licence covers the code, not the branding, visual identity, or written content above.
Any third-party names, trademarks, or logos that appear on this site remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the site or to the law. If these terms change, the “last updated” date above changes with them, and the revised terms take effect when published. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Severability and waiver
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed or modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
A failure to enforce any provision of these terms shall not be treated as a waiver of that provision, or of any other right.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter, or their formation — including non-contractual disputes or claims — are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
Subject to applicable law, any such dispute or claim shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts having jurisdiction over the Owner’s place of residence in the State of Andhra Pradesh, India.
Language
These terms are written in English. If any translated version is published, it is provided for convenience only, and the English version governs in the event of any inconsistency, ambiguity, or dispute.
